What's New @ Bentsticks

Bentsticks Night Lights

I have made two only of these nifty little Night lights.

They are 18cms wide x 15cms deep x 23cms high.

To get an idea of the size I have included a matchbox.

They are powered by a transformer and have a switch at the back.
$90.00 each

EYRIE the Unseen Castle.

Deep in the
Autumnland Forest is the castle of EYRIE.
It is not easy to find as it is built inside a tree trunk that looks like all the other trees.
They call it the
Unseen Castle
From the outside it may look like an old tree trunk but inside is a different story.
When you go through the round "hobbit door" you enter another world. Above you are 4 different floors.
When you walk up the spiral staircase you come to the Dining Room. After eating from the feast of food on the table you go up the next set of stairs to the Sleeping Room. As you choose a bed for the night you can see the
winch lifting supplies from the ground floor to the Games Room above. Finally we reach the top of the castle or the Keep where the sentry Gnomes keep lookout for dangers in the surrounding lands, from the sea to the Darklands. They watch for any unusual movements whether it be caravans of travelling merchants or invading tribes.

If they sense danger they ring the bells to warn the local people that live and work in the fields in the valley. When they hear the alarm they all run to the protection of the Castle. Then they load the cannons and turn them towards the uninvited guests. When the bells ring again, it signals the danger has passed and they go back to their work.

A long lost enchanted hamlet has magically appeared in Williamstown.

The Gnomes of Williamstown Shire have decided to come out of hiding to inhabit the whimsical world created by artist Gary Moore for the Art in Public Places Exhibition.

Nestling atop a stark white mountain, his fairytale village is a world away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

Gary works with fallen tree branches and carves pieces that inspire art lovers of all ages to imagine… to dream…

His gumtree wonderland has taken residence at Almond Tree Frames,
63 Ferguson St. in Williamstown (Victoria) from Monday March 7th to Sunday 17th April.

Art in Public Places is a project coordinated by Hobsons Bay City Council that is held in conjunction with the Bayside and Williamstown Festivals from the 8thth March – 18th April 2011.
